DTC P07BA
DTC P07BA: Transmission Park Position Sensor/Switch "B" Circuit High
General Description
The park position sensor is integrated to the sensor unit in the transmission. The transmission control module (TCM) judges the parking position by the output voltage from the park position sensor. If the park position sensor 2 output voltage is more than a specified value for a specified duration, the TCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Possible Cause
The causes shown may not be a complete list of all potential problems, and it is possible that there may be other causes.
- Park position sensor PARKSEN2 line open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
- Park position sensor VCC2 line open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
- Park position sensor SG1 line open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
- Park position sensor PARKSEN2 line short to ground
- Park position sensor VCC2 line short to ground
- Sensor unit failure (park position sensor)
- TCM internal failure
Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the A/T gear position indicator blinks and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the TCM memory. The MIL does not come on.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The A/T gear position indicator comes off by turning the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode. The Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command.
