DTC P2730: A/T Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve F High Input

The parking lock actuator is attached to the hydraulic control unit in the transmission. The failure detections of the parking lock actuator are done by the diagnostic function of the current regulator in the transmission control module (TCM). The diagnostic results are sent to the microcontroller via the serial communication. If the current regulator detects an open or a short to power for a specified duration, the TCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Malfunction Threshold

The current regulator detects an open or a short to power for at least 1 second.

Parking lock actuator VBSOL line open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
Parking lock actuator PLA line open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
Parking lock actuator VBSOL line short to ground
Parking lock actuator PLA line short to ground
Hydraulic control unit failure (parking lock actuator)
TCM internal failure

Diagnosis Details

Conditions for setting the DTC

When a malfunction is detected, the A/T gear position indicator blinks, the MIL comes on, and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the TCM memory.

Conditions for clearing the DTC

The A/T gear position indicator comes off by turning the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode. The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command.
