DTC P2857
DTC P2857: Clutch Pressure Regulator Low Current
General Description
The pressure regulator is attached to the hydraulic control unit in the transmission. The transmission control module (TCM) monitors the actual current value and the target current value of the pressure regulator. If any one of the pressure regulators' deviation of target and actual current values exceeds the lower limit at a specified pressure regulator target current value, the TCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

- Pressure regulator LSA line open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
- Pressure regulator LSB line open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
- Pressure regulator LSC line open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
- Pressure regulator LSD line open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
- Pressure regulator VBSOL2 line short to ground
- Pressure regulator LSA line short to ground
- Pressure regulator LSB line short to ground
- Pressure regulator LSC line short to ground

- TCM internal failure
Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the A/T gear position indicator blinks and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the TCM memory. The MIL does not come on.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The A/T gear position indicator comes off by turning the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode. The Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command.
