DTC B1040 (Body Control Module): Inspection

+B_WIPER, PGND Circuit Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Windshield wiper control unit/motor connector (5P): disconnected
  • Body control module connector A (66P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) Windshield wiper control unit/motor connector (5P) female terminals	(Disconnected) Body control module connector A (66P) female terminals

	+B_WIPER circuit inspection	OFF			12 V battery voltage [circuit type 1]
	PGND open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohms
	LIN(FR_WIPER) open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohms
	Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
	LIN(FR_WIPER) shorted to ground inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhms

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

  If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.

• If normal, there is a problem with the body control module.
