Removal Procedure: Notes

CAUTION: Refer to SIR CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR DISABLING AND ENABLING
  2. Remove the steering wheel. Steering Wheel Replacement 
  3. Remove the steering column trim covers.

  4. Disconnect any electrical connectors and remove the wiring harness from any retainers as needed.
    5. Fig 2: Turn Signal Multifunction Switch/SIR Coil Assembly

  5. Remove the 3 turn signal multifunction switch/SIR coil assembly bolts.
  6. Slide the turn signal multifunction switch/SIR coil assembly off of the steering column.
