Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Cadillac STS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The vehicle direction alert alarm warning (VDAAW) system is a convenience feature that detects an unintentional lane departure. The VDAAW system informs the operator of deviation from the road lane markings. The system activates at 35 mph and detects lane markings painted on the roadway. When the operator crosses a detected lane marking, the VDAAW indicator will flash and the operator will hear three chimes. VDAAW will not warn the operator if the turn signal is on or if the operator makes a sharp maneuver.
