Throttle Full Close Switch: Testing and Inspection

Idle Switch:

Idle Speed Control (ISC) Servo Location:

To test the Idle Switch, located on the end of the Idle Speed Control (ISC) Servo (mounted on the throttle valve), proceed as follows.

Idle Switch Test Hook-up:

1. Disconnect the ISC motor connector.
2. Check for continuity between terminal 2 and the body ground.
Terminal 2: Idle Switch

3. Depress the accelerator off the idle position and check for continuity, there should be none (infinite ohm). Release the throttle to the idle position and test for continuity again, there should be continuity (0 ohm).
