The 1989 and 1990 Sonata power door lock actuators were controlled by the power door lock control unit.
1991, 1992, and 1993 Sonatas use a power door lock control relay and the electronic time and alarm control (ETAC) unit to activate the power door locks.
1991, 1992, and 1993 Sonata Shop Manuals incorrectly refer to the power door lock control unit. Wherever this reference is made in your Shop Manuals, correct it to read power door lock control relay.
The ETM refers to it as the power door lock control unit.
