System Troubleshooting Procedures




The vehicle speed sensor is a reed switch. The vehicle speed sensor is built into the speedometer and coverts the transaxle gear revolutions into pulse signals, which are sent to ECM.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
If there is an open or short circuit in the vehicle speed sensor signal circuit, the engine may stall when the vehicle is decelerated to a stop.
