Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Drain the coolant to a level below the bottom of the sensor.
2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery and then remove the sensor connector.





3. Remove the coolant sensor.

INSTALLATION
1. Tighten the coolant temperature sensor to the specified torque after applying the sealant to the screw area.
Recommend sealant Threebond No. 1324N or LOCTITE 262
Tightening torque
The coolant temperature sensor 20 - 40 Nm (200 - 400 kg.cm, 14 - 29 ft. lbs.)
2. Connect the sensor to the harness.
3. Connect the ground cable to the battery.
4. Refill the engine coolant.
