Repair Procedures: Removal

NOTE: In the case of the vehicle equipped with immobilizer, perform "Key Teaching" procedure together (Refer to TEACHING PROCEDURES .
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the front strut assembly (Refer to FRONT SUSPENSION SYSTEM ).
  3. Disconnect the ECM Connector (A).
  4. Fig 1: Identifying ECM Connector, TCM Connector, ECM Bracket Bolts, & Nut

  5. Disconnect the TCM connector (B) [A/T].
  6. Remove the ECM bracket installation bolts (C) and nut (D).
