Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the GDS when replacing with a new TCM.

  2. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  3. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  4. Disconnect the TCM Connector (A).

  5. Remove the battery.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  6. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  7. Remove the mounting bolts (A) and nut (B), and then remove the TCM (C).

  8. After removing the installation nuts (A) and screws (B), remove the TCM from the bracket.
