Repair Procedures: Removal

- Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the battery.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")
- Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Disconnect the ECM Connector (A).
- Remove the ECM & bracket (B) after loosening the mounting bolt and nuts,
ECM bracket mounting bolt/nut:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Remove the ECM after loosening the mounting nuts and screws from the ECM & bracket.
