DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical Check
  
Case 1 Enable Conditions
  • Time after ignition ON is longer than 0.1 second.
  • Engine speed is 0 RPM.
  • No main relay error
  1. Short to battery in harness
  2. Poor connection or damaged harness
Threshold Value
  • Alternator load is less than 15%
Diagnosis Time
  • 1 second.
Case 2 Enable Conditions
  • Engine speed is higher than 0 RPM.
  • No relevant failure
  • Battery voltage is less than 16V
  • Engine speed (RPM) is between 600 RPM and 4, 000 RPM
  • Coolant temp. is higher than 73°C (140°F).
Threshold Value
  • Alternator load is less than 2%.
Diagnosis Time
  • 20 seconds.
MIL On Condition
  • No MIL (DTC only)
