Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (A).

  3. Remove the protector (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

    Crankshaft Position Sensor Protector Mounting Bolt (M6): 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)

  4. Remove the mounting bolt (A), and then remove the crankshaft position sensor.

    Crankshaft Position Sensor Mounting Bolt: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
