| DTC Strategy |
- Characteristic Monitoring
|
- Poor Connector Connection
- Faulty Upstream O2 Sensor
|
| Enable Condition |
Case 1 |
- Upstream O2 sensor operative readiness is detected
- Downstream O2 sensor operative readiness is detected
- Active test is not activated
- Catalyst purge after fuel cut off is not activated
- Engine speed is faster than 576 RPM
- Mass air flow is lower than 83g/s
- Exhaust gas temperature model is between 300°C (572°F) and 800°C (1472°F)
- Stable driving condition:
- Filtered engine RPM is 500 RPM faster than actual RPM
- Filtered air mass is 0.6g/rev greater than actual air mass
- Filtered lambda value is 15% greater than actual lambda value
- Battery voltage is between 11V and 16V
|
| Case 2 |
- Fuel cut off is not activated
- Full load is not activated (gas pedal value is less than 90%)
- No catalyst overheating protection
- Battery voltage higher than 11V and lower than 16V
|
| Threshold Value |
Case 1 |
- Upstream Lambda (rich) below 0.9 and Downstream O2 signal voltage below 0.2V (lean) and lambda controller in limit (-30%)
|
| Case 2 |
- Lambda value below 1.05 when lambda setpoint is 1.15
|
| Diagnostic Time |
Case 1 |
- 5 to 100 sec. depending on intake air mass
|
| Case 2 |
- 10 sec. after lambda setpoint shift to corresponding side
