Repair Procedures: Removal
- Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the GDS when replacing with a new TCM.
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Disconnect the TCM connector (A).
- Disconnect the TCM connector (B).
- Remove the fixing clip (A) of the wiring.
- Remove the TCM (A) after removing the mounting nuts and bolts (B).
TCM installation nut:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
