Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the GDS when replacing with a new TCM.

  2. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  3. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  4. Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  5. Disconnect the TCM connector (A).

  6. Disconnect the TCM connector (B).

  7. Remove the fixing clip (A) of the wiring.

  8. Remove the TCM (A) after removing the mounting nuts and bolts (B).

    TCM installation nut: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
