Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Perform the line pressure removal mode off procedure by using the diagnostic tool.

  2. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  3. Disconnect the connector (A).

  4. RCV solenoid valve hose (A) and then separate the intercooler outlet hose (B).

  5. Disconnect the TCM connector (A) and then loosening the TCM upper mounting bolts (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb-ft)

  6. Remove the under cover.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

  7. Remove the intercooler outlet hose (A).

  8. Loosen the TCM bottom bolts and connector bolt (A) and then removing the TCM (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    TCM bottom mounting bolts: 9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb-ft)

    TCM connector mounting bolt (A): 7.8 - 9.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb-ft)

    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to damage the TCM pin part (A) when removing the TCM assembly.
