Repair Procedures: Removal
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to damage the parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank and canister) when raising the vehicle using the lift.

WARNING:
- Be sure to read and follow the "General Safety Information And Caution " before doing any work related with the high voltage system. Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious electrical injuries.
- Be sure to read and follow the "High Voltage Shut-Off Procedures " before doing any work related with the high voltage system. Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious electrical injuries.
- Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the diagnostic tool when replacing with a new TCM.
- Shut off the high voltage circuit.
(Refer to Automatic Transaxle System - " REPAIR PROCEDURE ")
- Remove the glove box.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - " GLOVE BOX ")
- Remove the Integrated Body Control Unit (IBU).
(Refer to Body Electrical System - " INTEGRATED BODY CONTROL UNIT (IBU) ")
- Remove the heater control unit.
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation And Air Conditioning - " HEATER CONTROL UNIT ")
- Disconnect the TCM connector (A).
- Loosen the nuts and bolt and then removing the TCM (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
