Throttle Position Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
- Turn the ignition key off.
- Disconnect the idle switch and throttle sensor connectors.
- Remove the 2 bolts securing the unit to the throttle chamber and remove the unit.



INSTALLATION
- Install the unit to the throttle shaft, aligning the flat area on the shaft with the flat area on the unit.
- Install the screws and tighten slightly. [1]
- Reconnect the throttle sensor and idle switch connectors.

NOTE: [1] Tighten mounting screws completely, after adjustments are made.

ADJUSTMENT
NOTE: Since the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and the Closed Throttle Position (CTP) Switch are housed inside one component body; The Closed Throttle Position Switch contacts will be adjusted correctly when the integral Throttle Position Sensor is adjusted.
