Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Switch

Switch is located on transmission/transaxle. Switch notifies PCM when transmission/transaxle is in Park or Neutral. Primary use is to prevent starting the vehicle in Drive. This signal also is used by PCM to calculate required changes in idle speed, ignition timing and injector operation.
