DTC Confirmation Test

Malfunction is detected when PCM receives improper voltage signal from FPCM. Depending on equipment available, use one of the following to set DTC:

• Using Scan Tool
  
  Raise and support vehicle. Start engine. Ensure TCS switch is in OFF position. Shift transmission into Drive. Hold vehicle speed at 43-62 MPH for 12 seconds. Select Mode 7.
• Using MIL
  
  Raise and support vehicle. Start engine. Ensure TCS switch is in OFF position. Shift transmission into Drive. Hold vehicle speed at 43-62 MPH for 12 seconds. Turn ignition off and wait at least 5 seconds. Turn ignition on and retrieve DTCs using MIL. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article.
