DTC Confirmation Test "A"

Malfunction is detected when ECM receives an excessively low voltage from EGR temperature sensor when engine coolant temperature is low. Possible causes are:

• EGR temperature sensor circuit shorted.
• Defective EGR temperature sensor.
• EGR malfunction.

To set DTC, turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR with scan tool. Ensure engine coolant temperature is less than 104°F (40°C). Start engine and let it idle for at least 8 seconds.
