Component Inspection

  1. Loosen fixing bolt of sensor.
  2. Disconnect intake valve timing control position sensor harness connector.
  3. Remove sensor. Visually check sensor for chipping.
  4. Check component resistance. See Fig 1 . For specifications, see INTAKE VALVE TIMING CONTROL POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE  table. If resistance is not as specified, replace intake valve timing control position sensor.
