Front Axle Hub Bolt: Replacement

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
- DISCONNECT FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH (see REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT DISC (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT AXLE LH HUB BOLT
- Using SST and a screwdriver or equivalent to hold the axle hub, remove the front axle hub bolt.
SST 09650 - 17011
NOTE: Do not damage the threads of the hub bolts.
- Using SST and a screwdriver or equivalent to hold the axle hub, remove the front axle hub bolt.
- INSTALL FRONT AXLE LH HUB BOLT
- Temporarily install a washer and hub nut to a new hub bolt as shown in the illustration.NOTE: Install hub nuts to prevent damage to the hub bolts.
- Using a screwdriver or equivalent to hold the hub, turn the hub nut until the bottom surface of the hub bolt head touches the axle hub.
- Remove the washer and hub nut.NOTE: Do not damage the threads of the hub bolts.
- Temporarily install a washer and hub nut to a new hub bolt as shown in the illustration.
- INSTALL FRONT DISC (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH (see INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: for Aluminum Wheel
131 N*m (1336 kgf*cm, 97 ft.*lbf)
for Steel Wheel
209 N*m (2131 kgf*cm, 154 ft.*lbf)
