Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK CONNECTOR

    1. Turn the Ignition Switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect Chassis Control Module harness connector
    3. Check the connector for disconnection or looseness.
    4. Check the pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 2  .

    NO 

    Repair or replace error-detected parts, securely lock the harness connector, and GO TO STEP 2  .

  2. PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS (1)

    1. Connect Chassis Control Module harness connector.
    2. Perform self-diagnosis for "CHASSIS CONTROL".

    Is DTC "C1BB5 - 00" detected?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 3  .

    NO 

    INSPECTION END

  3. CHECK CHASSIS CONTROL MODULE IGNITION POWER SUPPLY

    1. Turn the Ignition Switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect Chassis Control Module harness connector.
    3. Check the voltage between Chassis Control Module harness connector and ground.

    4. Turn the Ignition Switch ON.
      CAUTION:

      Never start engine.

    5. Check the voltage between Chassis Control Module harness connector and ground.

      (Approx.)
      Chassis Control Module

      E219 4 Ground 6.4 - 16 V
      25

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 6  .

    NO 

    GO TO STEP 4  .

  4. CHECK BATTERY

    Check the battery. Refer to WORK FLOW .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 5  .

    NO 

    Charge or replace the battery.

  5. CHECK CHASSIS CONTROL MODULE IGNITION POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

    1. Turn the Ignition Switch OFF.
    2. Check the 5 A fuse (No. 21).
    3. Check the 5 A fuse (No. 23).
    4. Disconnect fuse block (J/B) harness connector.
    5. Check the continuity between Chassis Control Module harness connector and fuse block (J/B) harness connector.

    6. Check the continuity between Chassis Control Module harness connector and the ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    Perform trouble diagnosis for ignition power supply.

    NO 

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.

  6. CHECK CHASSIS CONTROL MODULE GROUND CIRCUIT

    1. Turn the Ignition Switch OFF.
    2. Check the continuity between Chassis Control Module harness connector and ground.

      E219 6 Ground Existed

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 7  .

    NO 

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.

  7. PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS (2)

    1. Connect Chassis Control Module harness connector.
    2. Perform self-diagnosis for "CHASSIS CONTROL".

    Is DTC "C1BB5 - 00" detected?

    YES 

    Replace the Chassis Control Module. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO 

    INSPECTION END
