Diagnosis Procedure

With CONSULT

1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. On CONSULT screen, select "ENGINE" >> "ACTIV TEST" >> "Check purging pressure control".
3. Select "OPEN".
4. Check that the indicated value of purge pressure sensor is between (-)1 - (+)1 kPa [(-)0.01 - (+)0.01 bar, (-)0.01 - (+)0.01 kg-cm2, (-)0.145 - (+)0.145 psi]

Is the inspection result normal?

YES 

INSPECTION END

NO 

GO TO STEP 2  .

1. Insert the fuse which pulled out.
2. Disconnect EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Check the voltage between EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector and ground.

   +		-	Voltage
   EVAP control system pressure sensor
   Connector	Terminal
   F173	3	Ground	Battery voltage

Is the inspection result normal?

YES 

GO TO STEP 4  .

NO 

GO TO STEP 3  .

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect ECM harness connector.
3. Check the continuity between ECM harness connector and EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector.

   +		-		Continuity
   ECM		EVAP control system pressure sensor
   Connector	Terminal	Connector	Terminal
   F149	16	F173	3	Existed

4. Also check harness for short to power and short to ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES 

Check ECM power supply circuit. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE .

NO 

Repair or replace error-detected parts.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect ECM harness connector.
3. Check the continuity between ECM harness connector and EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector.

   +		-		Continuity
   ECM		EVAP control system pressure sensor
   Connector	Terminal	Connector	Terminal
   F149	36	F173	1	Existed
   	11		2

4. Also check harness for short to power and short to ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES 

Replace EVAP control system pressure sensor. Refer to EXPLODED VIEW WITH TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

NO 

Repair or replace error-detected parts.
