I-TEC Control System: Description

The I-TEC control system constantly monitors and controls engine operation. This lowers emissions while maintaining fuel economy and driveability. The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) controls the fuel injection system, the ignition system, and the turbocharger control system (if used).

The fuel injection system consist of the crank angle sensor, the throttle valve switch, the vehicle speed sensor, the coolant temperature sensor, the air flow sensor, the oxygen sensor, 4 fuel injectors, and the ECU.

The ignition system consist of the crank angle sensor, the throttle valve switch, the vehicle speed sensor, the coolant temperature sensor, the air flow sensor, the knock sensor, a transistorized ignition coil, and the ECU.

The turbocharger control system consist of the throttle valve switch, the throttle position sensor, the knock sensor, the coolant temperature sensor, the air flow sensor, the oxygen sensor, the stepping motor, the turbocharger controller, and the ECU.
