Code 34: Map Sensor (Signal Volt Lo): Notes

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. Code 34 will set when the signal voltage is too low and engine is running at less than 1200 RPM or if the engine speed is greater than 1200 RPM and throttle position is greater than 21 percent (greater than 1.5 volts).
  2. If ECM recognizes the high MAP signal, ECM and wiring are okay.
  3. "Scan" tester may not display 12 volts. The important thing is that the ECM recognizes voltage as more than 4 volts, indicating that ECM and circuit No. 432 are okay.
