Disassembly (2.3L)

  1. Remove distributor cap, lead wire and vacuum advance. See Fig 1. Insert screwdriver into lower side of reluctor and carefully pry it from distributor shaft.

  2. File off staked end of roll pin, then drive out roll pin with a pin punch. Remove distributor shaft. Remove advance weights and springs from distributor shaft.
