Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes: Trooper

Two methods may be used to clear DTCs from EBCM memory:

• With Scan Tool Connect scan tool to DLC. Follow scan tool manufacturer's instructions to clear DTCs.
• Without Scan Tool Ensure ignition is off and brake pedal is not depressed. Using a jumper wire, jumper DLC terminals No. 4 and 12 together, and within 3 seconds, depress and release brake pedal 6 or more times. See Figure. DTCs will not be cleared if brake pedal is not depressed within 3 seconds of jumping DLC terminals.
