Passenger's Control Unit Input Test (Accord)

Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM articles below. Turn ignition off. Remove passengers under dash fuse/relay box.

Remove passenger's multiplex control unit from passenger's under dash fuse/relay box. Ensure connector and socket terminals are okay. Repair as necessary and retest system. If connector and terminals are okay, using a DVOM, perform control unit input test as indicated. See Fig 1. If an input test indicates a problem, find and correct cause and retest system. If all input test results are okay, replace faulty multiplex communications control unit.
