Locking Hubs: Identification

Automatic locking hubs do not have a hub cover mounted control knob. Automatic hubs equipped with shift-on-the-fly system use a vacuum servo and Vacuum Switching Valve (VSV) assembly located on left side of front axle housing. See Fig 1 .
