Vacuum Diagrams: Introduction

NOTE: Some vehicles have adopted California emission standards. Use underhood emission application label to identify correct emission system applications. Use the following illustrations as a guide only.

This article contains example underhood views or schematics of vacuum hose routing. Use these vacuum diagrams as a guide during visual inspection in appropriate BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article. This will assist in identifying improperly routed vacuum hoses which may cause driveability and/or computer-indicated malfunctions.

NOTE: Vacuum diagrams are not available for Amigo, Passport, Rodeo, SLX, Trooper and VehiCROSS.
