All clutch assemblies are single disc type with a diaphragm spring pressure plate. All clutches are hydraulically operated. Amigo and Rodeo 2.2L use a push-type pressure plate. Amigo, Passport and Rodeo 3.2L, and Trooper clutches use a pull-type pressure plate. On pull-type clutches, the release bearing interlocks to the release lever and the clutch releases when diaphragm fingers are pulled out. Hombre uses a concentric-type clutch slave cylinder mounted inside transmission bellhousing.
