Diagnostic Procedure
- Perform On-Board Diagnostic II (OBD-II) System Check. See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC II (OBD-II) SYSTEM CHECK in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article. After performing OBD-II system check, go to next step.
- Turn ignition on, engine off. Review and record scan tool FAILURE RECORDS data. Operate vehicle within FAILURE RECORDS conditions noted. Monitor DTC P0325 information. If scan tool indicates DTC P0325 FAILED THIS IGNITION, go to next step. If scan tool display is not as specified, go to DIAGNOSTIC AIDS .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ISM and PCM harness connectors. Check electrical circuit between ISM harness connector and PCM harness connector terminal F68 (Red wire). See PIN VOLTAGE CHARTS article for PCM terminal identification. If problem was found, repair as necessary and retest system. If no problem was found, go to next step.
- Disconnect ignition coil. Check wiring harness between ignition coil harness connector and ISM harness connector. If problem was found, repair as necessary and retest system. If no problem was found, go to next step.
