Circuit Description

Throttle Position (TP) sensor measures amount of throttle plate opening. PCM uses TP sensor information for fuel delivery calculations. TP sensor reading is about 0.25 volts at closed throttle and 4.75 volts during Wide Open Throttle (WOT).

Conditions required to set DTC are:

• Engine running.
• No MAP, ECT, TP, CKP, EGR, EVAP, injector or misfire DTCs set.
• ECT reading is greater than 14°F (-10°C).
• IAC counts are between 10 and 160 counts.
• MAP value changes by less than 2 kPa.
