Diagnostic Procedures
- Perform OBD-II system check. See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC II (OBD-II) SYSTEM CHECK . After performing OBD-II system check, go to next step.
- Visually check for loose or broken harness connectors, worn or broken wires or terminals, or damaged fuel tank or fuel level sensor. Repair as necessary. If no problem was found, go to next step.
- Remove fuel tank and inspect fuel level sensor for corrosion, rust or damage. Repair or replace as necessary. If no problem was found, go to next step.
- Replace and reprogram PCM using required equipment. See PROGRAMMING . Retest system.
