Code Enable Criteria
Following conditions must be met for DTC diagnostic test to run:
- No TP sensor, MAP sensor, CMP sensor, VSS, ECT CKP sensor DTCs are set.
- Engine speed is 625-6250 RPM.
- System voltage is 11-16 volts.
- ECT sensor indicates an engine temperature between 20°F (-7°C) and 248°F (120°C).
- Throttle angle is steady and changes less than 2.73 percent per 100 milliseconds.
- PCM detects crankshaft RPM variation, indicating a misfire which could cause catalytic convertor damage or high emissions.
- TP sensor signal is less than 3.125 percent.
- Vehicle speed is 12 MPH or more.
- Engine is under load.
- Fuel level is 14.8 percent or more.
- Engine coolant temperature is less than 20°F (-7°C) at start-up.
- Engine coolant temperature is between 69°F (21°C) and 248°F (120°C).
- Rough road table based on rough road value from ABD vs. vehicle speed.
- Deceleration index vs. engine speed vs. load and crank position.
- Emission damage misfire ratio is 2 percent or more.
- Catalyst damage misfire ration 11.25 percent.
