Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers in the diagnostic procedure:

   Comparing engine coolant temperature displayed on scan tool with actual coolant temperature as measured with a thermometer, may help in diagnosing problem. If displayed engine coolant temperature is not close to actual temperature, replace ECT sensor. If temperatures are close problem is intermittent.

   Testing engine coolant temperature sensor resistance.
