Exhaust Gas Recirculation Test
For PCM to start and run EGR test following conditions must exist:
- Throttle position angle is less than 0.8 percent.
- EGR duty cycle is less than 2 percent.
- MAP sensor signal is steady, changing less than 2 kPa.
- Engine speed is 1400-2800 RPM (M/T) RPM.
- Map sensor signal is between 10.3-49.8 kPa.
- PCM will only run EGR test during closed throttle (deceleration) conditions.
- PCM will only run EGR test at vehicle speed above 15 MPH.
- Several deceleration cycles will be necessary to run a sufficient number of EGR valve flow tests.
