SERVICE PARK ASSIST

The driver information center (DIC) displays SERVICE PARK ASSIST when the object alarm module detects that a malfunction exists in the object alarm system and sends a request to the DIC to display the SERVICE PARK ASSIST message. The DIC also displays SERVICE PARK ASSIST when there is a loss of communication with the object alarm module.

The PARK ASSIST DISABLED message is displayed in the DIC when the object alarm system is disabled due to conditions that disable or inhibit the system. The object alarm module requests the DIC via GMLAN to display PARK ASSIST DISABLED when it detects that one of the following conditions is true:

PARKING ASSIST OFF

Vehicles equipped with the front and rear parking assist system displays PARKING ASSIST OFF in the DIC to remind the driver that the parking assist system is turned off after the vehicle is shifted out of PARK (P). Pressing the DIC set/reset button acknowledges the message and clears it from the DIC display.
