Crankshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

TDC Sensor Scope Pattern:

OSCILLOSCOPE CHECK

1. Connect scope positive lead to ECU pin 1 or blue sensor wire.
2. Connect scope negative lead to ECU pin 2 or sensor wiring shield.
3. Scope pattern should match accompanying image.

RESISTANCE CHECK

1. Unplug sensor harness connector and check resistance across sensor wires. Resistance should be approximately 700 ohms.
2. If resistance is not as specified, replace sensor.
