Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

Oxygen Sensor:

- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Disconnect the HO2S harness multi-plug (heater supply) and single connector (signal lead) at the connector bracket mounted on the engine oil dip-stick tube.
- Release the harness from the retaining clip.
- Raise the vehicle on a ramp.
- Unscrew and remove the HO2S from the downpipe catalyst assembly.
- Clean the down pipe aperture.
- The threads of the new HO2S should be ready greased, fit the HO2S and tighten.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Position the HO2S connectors in the bracket and reconnect the harness.
- Refit the harness to the retaining clip.
- Connect the battery ground cable.
