Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

Airflow Meter:

- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Disconnect the MAFS multi-plug.
- Undo and remove air intake elbow mounting securing nut.
- Undo and remove air cleaner mounting securing nut.
- Slacken MAFS to elbow hose securing clips, reposition clips.
- Reposition hose.
- Displace and reposition elbow from mounting bobbin.
- Release air cleaner to MAFS securing clips.
- Displace and reposition air cleaner from mountings.
- Carefully remove MAFS.
- Remove and discard O-ring seal.
- Place MAFS aside.
- Fit and fully seat new O-ring to new MAFS.
- Carefully fit and fully seat MAFS to elbow hose and air cleaner.

Note: Be sure correct seating of O-ring and locating dowel in air cleaner.

- The remaining reassembly is the reversal of the removal procedure.
