Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

Note: This procedure must only be carried out on a cold or cool engine.

- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Disconnect the ECTS connector (brown).

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor:

- Undo and remove the ECTS.
- Clean the ECTS aperture.
- Be sure the sealing washer is fitted, and refit the ECTS.
- Tighten to the correct torque.
- Refit ECTS connector (brown).
- Connect the battery ground cable.
