Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor (4.0L)

CKP sensor is located at the front of engine and provides PCM with information on engine speed and crankshaft position. PCM uses information to control fuel injection pulse rate and ignition timing. CKP sensor is also used for sensing cranking speed.
