4.1.2 Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory Failure - P1603
The TCM processor reads and writes to the Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM) during module initialization and system operation. Any corruption of data or failure to communicate will result in the TCM adopting the default mode (limp home) and flagging the failure.
If the failure is permanently flagged the TCM should be replaced taking care to obtain the correctly programmed variant.
