Engine Control Module (ECM) - Removal and Installation: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Jaguar XKR, 2008 Jaguar XKR, and 2007 Jaguar XKR. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the ECM.
    • Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).
    • Connect the ECM electrical connectors.
  2. Install the electrical connector.
    • Tighten the Torx screws.
  3. Connect and secure the electrical connector.
    • Tighten the center bolt.
  4. Position and install the power distribution box.
    • Tighten the Torx bolts to 8 Nm (6 lb.ft).
  5. Install the air intake cover.
    • Carefully secure the clips.
  6. Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover. Refer to Specifications article.
  7. Using WDS, configure a new ECM.
