Adaptive Speed Control Radar Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Jaguar XF. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The adaptive speed control radar sensor is located in the front bumper, on the RH side above the radiator grill behind the bumper cover. The sensor is connected to the Adaptive Speed Control, module via a private controller area network (CAN) bus. If the unit is replaced in service the unit must be re-aligned vertically. Horizontal alignment is achieved by putting the sensor in service mode via the recommended Jaguar diagnostic tool.

The vehicle is then driven for a short period while the sensor calibrates itself. Calibration is complete when the 'follow' icon in the instrument cluster stops flashing.
